Welcome to my H.O. Scale Model Railroad Layout
Like most little boys growing up, I always wanted a train platform like you would see in a really cool Model Railroad Magazine, But like most kids I never had the room, time, or money to build a real train platform.
Now that I'm 64 years old and recently retired, I have the room. I certainly have the time, but I still don't have a lot of money. But I decided I can spend a little money and try to build a really nice train layout.
My railroad layout will be modeled, based on an area in Eastern Pennsylvania where I grew up during the late 1950's and early 1960's. A coal mine operation will be the major industry on my layout. The small town on my layout will be named after me and I will be the Mayor, and live in the big house on the hill. LOL!
This is a fun and exciting project and a perfect hobby during the cold winter months. This Modeling lets me use my imagination and gets my creative juices flowing.
